Our high-performance shutters are custom designed for integration in night vision thermography cameras, IR imaging devices, and portable handheld thermal units for military and surveillance applications. When lives are at stake, you need a lightweight shutter designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions and operate reliably for up to a million cycles.
Stepper Motor Drive Shutters are extremely light weight, use miniature stepper motors and geared drives, and provide reliable low-power performance in a very compact package. Blade shapes and coatings are optimized for visible and IR imaging, making them ideal for applications such as miniaturized night vision cameras and sights. The repeatable speed/time controlled motion of the stepper drive minimizes blade stop impact for long life, low wear, and low noise. These shutters are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, including shock, vibration and extreme temperatures, making them ideal for transportation and field portable applications.
Stepper Motor Shutters with Integrated Driver offer the same capabilities and performance as our regular stepper motor shutters, with an integrated controller built-in to enable rapid integration into your application. These shutters are designed to be controlled via a TTL signal.

Rotary Drive Shutters are extremely light weight (with few moving parts) and available in both single- and multi-blade formats, making them an excellent choice for small-space applications in security and surveillance cameras. The suspended-blade shape and coatings are optimized for night vision, thermography, IR imaging, and laboratory research applications. Designed to withstand extreme temperature conditions, these shutters resist shock and vibration, and operate reliably for several million cycles. They accept onboard battery-powered integrated drive circuitry, are bi-stable (only consume power while moving blades) and designed with high torque robust actuators. Models are available with non-optical sensors providing state indication.

Flag Shutters and Paddle Shutters are economical and ideal for compact, portable applications. Best fit for vertical designs, they are often used in portable handheld thermal cameras and devices for first responder, inspection, and surveillance applications. Models are available with non-optical sensors providing state indication.
Solenoid Driven Ultra-Thin Shutterare optimized for OEM applications that require compact size, low weight, and low voltage operation and can be mounted in any orientation. A reliable, multiblade shutter mechanism guarantees high operational speed and near 100% light extinction. Spring-steel blades with a Teflon®-impregnated, black matte finish provide smooth and dependable operation. Available in 3, 6, 12 (standard) Vdc solenoids.
