Supporting our Local Communities Around the World

We embody a continued commitment to focus on what matters in our businesses and in our local communities.  The global IDEX Optical Technologies team gives back to local organizations year round through donations, fundraisers, and volunteering.

Below are some recent contributions:

 

Giving Back in 2023:

Didam, The Netherlands, IDEX Optical Technologies B.V.:​

  • FOOD DRIVE 2023: Our employees donated 88 lbs of personal care products like soap, shampoo and also cleaning products and detergents to help support those in need in our local community. The IDEX Foundation also donated $5,000 to Voedselbank Montferland.
  • We partnered with IDEX Foundation to donate $5k to the Bio Vakantie Park in Arnhem. The Bio Vakantieoord is a park in the Netherlands where all families and children with and without disabilities, can enjoy themselves. The Bio Vakantieoord offers an affordable holiday in a park with spacious bungalows, special swimming pool, equestrian center,  cinema, and more!

20203 Food Drive

Albuquerque, New Mexico, CVI Laser Optics:

  • FOOD DRIVE 2023: Our employees donated 910 lbs of food to the Road Runner Food Bank. This donation will serve 610 meals across our state to help those in need. The IDEX Foundation also donated $5,000.  
  • On Friday April 21, a group of CVI Laser Optics employees teamed with a local non-profit organization, Cuidando Los Ninos, to lead several Earth Day activities. Cuidando Los Ninos’s mission statement is “to break the cycle of homelessness for children and families."  The CVI employees gave a brief presentation on why we celebrate Earth Day, followed by two interactive activities. The children worked with the volunteers from CVI to make bird feeders from recycled materials and seed bombs with blue, green, and white paper that looked like the earth. The other activity included how important the sun and moon is to planet Earth. It was an enriching and rewarding day for everyone. This event was the latest of several donation drives and stem actives.

  • Our CVI Laser Optics DEI team volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help build and paint interior walls. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home.

Boulder, Colorado, Advanced Thin Films:

  • FOOD DRIVE 2023: Our employees donated 644 lbs of food to the Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA). Along with a $5,000 donation from The IDEX Foundation.
  • We partnered with IDEX Foundation and received $57k to purchase a new van for Boulder Bridge House, a non-profit organization that provides Return to Work programs for the homeless.  Our employees also raised $1700 towards shipping costs for the new van along with making and donating 100 fleece blankets for the people supported by the Boulder Bridge House.

  • A group of our employees at Advanced Thin Films volunteered their time at A Precious Child to help sort and organize clothing at the donation center which assisted 163 children and caregivers.

Giving Back in 2022:

Leicester, United Kingdom, CVI Infrared Optics:

  • Our employees donated their time to repair and improve the multi-purpose hall at Blaby & Whetstone Youth Club. They removed damage caused by moisture and replastered, sanded, and repainted walls; refinished woodwork; and finished off with a good scrubbing on the floors!
  • We volunteered our time to clean up and prepare play areas for Little Hill Primary School located in Wigston, United Kingdom. We also partnered with IDEX Foundation and donated $10k for new play ground equipment.
  • In partnership with IDEX Foundation we donated $15k year to date to the Leicester South Foodbank, along with employee donations of non-perishable food products.
  • We raised £4.6k in Rise-2 Fundraiser for Blaby & Whetstone Youth Club, targeting social isolation for people aged 13 to 17 years old.
  • Donated £3.9k raised in Saturday Safe Space Fundraiser for a Youth Café aimed at reducing the amount of anti-social behavior in our local town center every weekend.

Didam, The Netherlands, IDEX Optical Technologies B.V.:

  • Food Drive and Fundraiser: Our employees donated157 pounds of food to Food Bank Montferland and partnered with IDEX Foundation to donated $5k.
  • We volunteer our time and continued support for the Bio Vakantie Park in Arnhem providing structural improvements. We also partnered with IDEX Foundation to donate $5k. 

Boulder, Colorado, Advanced Thin Films:

  • Food Drive and Fundraiser: Our employees donated 605 pounds of food to Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA) and partnered with IDEX Foundation to donated $5k. 
  • In collaboration with Wish for Wheels, we volunteered our time to put together 58 bikes for a local elementary school. We also partnered with IDEX Foundation and donated $5k to Wish for Wheels.
  • We partnered with the IDEX Foundation and donated $40K to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund to help those effect by the wildfire in Boulder Co.
  • Collected 512lbs of food from our employees and donated to Community Food Share.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, CVI Laser Optics:

  • Our employees donated 25 Thanksgiving meals to Cuidando Los Ninos for families in need. Each meal included a turkey, roasting pan, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, dinner rolls, vegetables, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie.
  • Food Drive and Fundraiser: Our employees donated 1,845 pounds of food to Roadrunner Food Bank and partnered with IDEX Foundation to donated $5k. 
  • We partnered with the  IDEX Foundation and donated $50k to Cuidando Los Ninos to  help fund renovations for a classroom in CLN’s new facility. And, we continue to volunteer time to help local children see the fun in science through monthly STEM classes.
  • February 22 - Pillow drive for Cuidando Los Ninos: Employees donated 260 pillows and the company matched. We donated 520 pillows in total.

 

Giving Back in 2021:

​Didam, Netherlands, IDEX Optical Technologies:

  • We donated €4500 to Voedselbank Montferland, a local food bank that helps individuals and families during difficult times. The food bank helps 40,000 families with food aid every week.

​Boulder, Colorado, Advanced Thin Films:

  • We partnered with the IDEX Foundation and donated $5,000 to the Boulder County Crisis Fund. The donation supports victims, their families, and the community in dealing with and processing the results of local tragic events.
  • We donated and volunteered our time to fill 240 backpacks with school supplies for A Precious Child. The backpacks along with the generous donation of $5,000 from the IDEX Foundation will equip numerous students at a disadvantage to start the 2021/2022 school year with the same footing as their peers!​

​Albuquerque, New Mexico, CVI Laser Optics:

  • We engage with Cuidando Los Ninos, a non-profit organization that helps children and families impacted by homelessness.  Through various events like pillow drives and summer-focused toy events, we work to help this mission-oriented organization make a lasting impact in the Albuquerque community.
  • In addition to raising $12,500 through the IDEX Foundation, the CVI team volunteers its time to help local children see the fun in science through monthly STEM classes.
